Grades 8 – 12

College & Careers

A division for students who want their last years of school to count toward something specific — college credit, a career pathway, or both at once.

The Division

School that points somewhere

From Grade 8, students can enroll in Discovery Preparatory Academy for College & Careers alongside their core coursework. It exists for a simple reason: the years between thirteen and eighteen are the ones in which a young person begins to suspect what they might be for, and a school ought to be useful at exactly that moment.

Students take dual-credit coursework, follow career pathways, and build the professional skills that a first employer will quietly assume they already have. Leadership development runs through all of it.

What It Offers

Four things a student leaves with

Dual-credit coursework

Coursework that counts toward higher education, taken while still enrolled at the Academy.

Career pathways

Structured routes toward a field of work, chosen with a student rather than assigned to them.

Professional skills

Writing, presenting, meeting a deadline, and speaking to an adult as a colleague rather than a pupil.

[PLACEHOLDER — client to confirm] Which dual-credit partner institutions award the credit, which career pathways are actually offered, who delivers them, and whether any certification is issued — none of this has been supplied. Do not publish the name of any college, awarding body, certification, or admissions outcome until it is confirmed in writing. Claims about credentials and accreditation are regulated in most jurisdictions.
